Prior to establishing himself as an independent Consultant with
Arden-Leys, Brian upheld a number of senior director and executive management positions; particularly focusing on business
mentoring, strategy, growth and developing strategic positioning to enhance companies export opportunities.
Awarded an MBE by the Queen for Services to International Trade
in the New Years Honours List in 2005. He is currently a member of the West Midlands
Regional International Trade Strategic Group. His highly profiled and long-standing career see’s him regularly developing
new businesses and international links for example in America, Germany,
Spain, Holland, France
and China.
Brian’s earlier formal training was with Lucas Industries
in their Management Development Program, he started his career as a fully indentured engineering apprentice before assuming
junior and senior management positions that culminated in the position of business manager. This foundation has successfully
underpinned his latter career progress from Departmental Manager to Technical Director, and continuing on to Managing Director.
Brian also has had extensive project management experiences within his career and he has worked in both multinational companies
and SME’s alike.
Brian’s strengths are in his extensive knowledge of engineering
and manufacturing processes particularly with all forms of presswork through to electrical and electronic FMCG mass production
operations. A noteworthy point within his career has been his passion for delivering techniques to achieve ‘best practice’
and its origins and methodology. As well as developing leading-edge team building and motivating techniques to his client’s
using his exceptional experiences and leadership capabilities.
