Awarded an MBE by the Queen for Services to International Trade in the New Years Honours List in 2005. He is currently a member of the West Midlands Regional International Trade Strategic Group. His highly profiled and long-standing career see’s him regularly developing new businesses and international links for example in America, Germany, Spain, Holland, France and China.

Brian’s earlier formal training was with Lucas Industries in their Management Development Program, he started his career as a fully indentured engineering apprentice before assuming junior and senior management positions that culminated in the position of business manager. This foundation has successfully underpinned his latter career progress from Departmental Manager to Technical Director, and continuing on to Managing Director. Brian also has had extensive project management experiences within his career and he has worked in both multinational companies and SME’s alike.

Brian’s strengths are in his extensive knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes particularly with all forms of presswork through to electrical and electronic FMCG mass production operations. A noteworthy point within his career has been his passion for delivering techniques to achieve ‘best practice’ and its origins and methodology. As well as developing leading-edge team building and motivating techniques to his client’s using his exceptional experiences and leadership capabilities.

Responsible for the introduction of  a large number of systems and procedures to improve the company's overall productivity, including the use of BIT (Business Improvement Techniques) to produce a workforce trained to NVQ levels 2-3 including all management.

Leading spring manufacturer for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and domestic trigger and pump valve systems industries world wide.

Manufacturers of automotive radial shaft seals and torsional vibration devices. Responsible for all new product development, and large capital projects.

1993 – 1995 Gemi Metallwarenfabrik GmbH & Co Germany. Technical Director.

Responsible for the production of High speed-deep drawn metal pressings for the pharmaceutical, automotive and domestic markets. Supervise product development and the establishing of a manufacturing facility in China.

Technical Director.

Responsible for the production of High speed-deep drawn metal pressings for the pharmaceutical, automotive and domestic markets. Responsible for all new product development and the start up of Presspart Inc. in North Carolina, USA.

1972 – 1988 Lucas Body Systems (Automotive Switch Gear) UK Business Manager.

From engineering apprentice through to business manager, responsible for prototype switch development, the Production Press Shop and electrical and electronic switch gear production.
